Cotani has used the residency program for learning and exploring his new environment. Researching the colours, textures, textiles and stories of the peninsula.
Using his time and new cultural surrounds as an opportunity to address the context of identity and of home, he has blended the surrounding culture and themes of daily life to create new visuals. Drawing on traditional Saudi elements of home, Cotani's project offers a future focus for wearing one's identity.
