Spazi Vivi is a performance on the physical reappropriation of the monument. Palazzo dei Capitani in Ascoli Piceno is an institutional, historical, representational place. Beautiful, but cold. A container that nobody really inhabits.

I brought a group of performers into those spaces and we crossed them the way you cross a body. slowly, attentively, looking for zones of pain, zones of pleasure, forgotten zones. The palace breathed, stiffened, gave way.

Spazi Vivi is not a critique of heritage: it's a way of calling it back to life. Walls know what they have seen. It's enough to ask. It's enough to be silent enough to hear them answer.
