To be the uniqueness we are. Ivo Cotani's soul has always fed on the sacred fire of art. When passion is well rooted and present in the soul of those who live it, no spatial or temporal limit can extinguish it. Words, for Ivo Cotani, are not enough to give shape to his thoughts, and painting becomes his simultaneous translator.

In the Hedonism exhibition, Ivo Cotani presents thirteen unpublished pictorial works. They are inspired by the incomprehension, incompatibility, and dissociation the artist feels toward contemporary society. A society in which the individual's personality gives way to the behavioral system of the majority. An unreal, inauthentic society, in which everyone is the others and no one is themselves. A society that capillary controls individuals, leaving them in the illusion of being free.

Ivo Cotani makes these works as an invitation to pleasure (hedonè), joy, lightness, fun, and the personal power of having the courage to be the uniqueness we are. In this series, the artist experiments with a new way of working, placing all the supports "on the ground". The works joined together with tape allow Ivo Cotani to move seamlessly from one to another, to walk on them barefoot, or to dance on them. All this gives the artist the sensation of walking on his own imagination.
