Ivo Còtani's painting translates into mythological and dreamlike visions that move in a composite space in motion. Joyful figures of a fantastic and kind world that, with grace and chromaticism, lead to joy and to that magical world relegated and compressed in the inevitable generational passage.

The selection of about 20 exhibited works, of variable format, follows the expressive line of a lively and ironic representation, also in the relationship between nature, man, fantasy, desecration, and myth. without ever falling into a provocative or vulgar compromise. The bright colors praise a childish joy that spreads beyond the field delimited by the cardboard.

The very use of paper, cardboard, acrylic colors, or watercolors can lead to inevitable references to some masters of the 1900s, but Ivo Cotani manages to dispel this thought with fluid simplicity.
